During training, the closest relationship you can build is one that is with your instructor. After all, you are both stuck with each other. A friendship can, then, be formed. Just like true friends, your instructors can guide you and help you get started and move up. Therefore, it is important to keep this relationship two- way and healthy.

One pilot, Jason Miller, advised young pilots to look at their instructors as coaches. Coaches are known to have a “bipolar” treatment. One minute they are tough and sadistic, while in the next minute, they are calm and heartening. Adapting to this kind of approach will help you because it will keep your mind in focus, while not being too much in focus. It balances your training. You can never expect anything from them. You just have to do your best, and see how they will react to it.

This combination is what will shape your skills and make you rise to the top. Do not expect to be spoiled. But do not let yourself be overworked, too.



Nothing can beat the art of practicing. It is through this that you are able to test your abilities, and observe your performance. Of course, this has to come with the proper study habits.
